## complications
- microcephaly when infected during pregnancy
- guillain barre syndrome
# diagnosis
- PCR
- IgG and IgM
- diagnosis by serology difficult because cross-reaciton with dengue, west nile, and yellow fever
# Treatment
- symptomatic only
- *avoid NSAIDs and aspirin* until dengue excluded
- notifiable disease
